African Collaborative Network - Know your Rights

“Know Your Rights” is an educational initiative aimed at empowering individuals by providing crucial information about their legal and human rights. The program covers a wide range of topics, including civil rights, workplace rights, immigration rights, and law enforcement encounters, among others. Its primary objective is to ensure that individuals are well-informed and can confidently navigate various situations, effectively advocate for themselves, and contribute actively to their communities. By instilling a robust understanding of one’s rights, the program fosters self-assurance, inclusivity, and promotes equality.

A Glimpse of Africa

A Glimpse of Africa  mission is  to ensure the African immigrants and refugees are  visible, through advocacy, creating a sense of belonging,  breaking language, cultural and systemic barriers.

For a new American these essential needs, resources and opportunities are the difference between losing hope and having a thriving life as they set roots in West Michigan.

The Michigan Immigrant Rights Center (MIRC) is a legal resource center for Michigan’s immigrant communities. MIRC works to build a thriving Michigan where immigrant communities experience equity and belonging.

Michigan League for Public Policy

The League uses data to educate, advocate and fight for policy solutions that undo historic and systemic racial and economic inequities to lift up Michiganders who have been left out of prosperity.

Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
